SAVANNAH - Helen D. Gafford, age 91 of Savannah died November 17, 2012 under the care of Hospice Savannah.

Ms. Gafford was born in Rowena, KY on May 18, 1921. She lived at Habersham House.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joe G. Gafford and son, John G. Gafford. She is survived by her daughters, Nell Alford Chris and Julia Davison; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
